Standard Edition with ASM?

raulk89Feb 14 2018 — edited Feb 20 2018

Hi

Oracle 11.2

I am planning to move certain database from windows host to oracle linux. This database has SE licence andcurrently does not use ASM.

(although I am not quite sure yet, is it a SE or SE1, if anyone know a way to determine this, then I would be grateful, googling this problem has given me no straight answers)

So my question is, when I prepare a new host, can I use ASM for this..?

What I have found so far, is, that SE can also be using Real Application Clusters, so looks to me that SE licence should support ASM.

I am asking because of this says Enterprise Edition (I probably can't install GI without EE ?)

[oracle@XXXXXX ~]$ sqlplus / as sysasm
