SSO between DCC and ECC protected applications of two different data centers

1977814May 12 2014

Hi All,

This is OAM 11g R2 PS2 env. I've two data centers, 1 Master (DC1) and other Clone (DC2). I've setup DCC authentication for DC1 an DC2 applications. When I access DC1 App, I get prompted for login and upon successful authn, DC1 App gets displayed. In the same session, if I access DC2 App which is also DCC protected, I am not prompted for login and thus SSO works..

However when I change the DC2 App to ECC authentication scheme and DC1 still has DCC authentication scheme, the SSO is failing. When I access DC2 ECC App, I get prompted for ECC login and and upon successful authn, DC2 App gets displayed. In the same session, if I access DC1 App which is DCC protected, the user is prompted for login again and thus breaking SSO.

However when I access DCC protected DC1 App first and ECC protected DC2 App, SSO is working.

Please let me know if you have any inputs/thoughts.

Thanks
Mahendra.
