sqlplus: command not found

scolari-ireAug 27 2010 — edited Aug 27 2010
Hi All,

I'm new to using UNIX with oracle, I have just installed Oracle 11g on my laptop.
The instillation seems to have gone fine after alot of tweaking but now im having a problem trying to start sqlplus.

Im getting the following error when i try to run sqlplus:

oracle@phil-laptop:/u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1$ sqlplus /nolog
sqlplus: command not found

I was hoping that someone could talk me through setting sqlplus up properly, I have a feeling that my directories are incorrect.

Thank.
