sqlplus / as sysdba incorrect password

Hi,

Oracle 19c on Solaris. Yesterday, connecting to the database worked just fine (sqlplus / as sysdba). Now, I am getting:

ERROR:
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

I tried connecting using the system user/pw and it is just fine. Why would I no longer be able to connect automatically?
