SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIME

42994Aug 31 2006 — edited Sep 1 2006
Hello guys,

I just wanted to know that if SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIME parameter in not specified in the sqlnet.ora file, does that mean inactive sessions are held indefinitely? As far as I know if the parameter is present and if it is set to 0, the sessions are held indefinitely.
Is there any other way to check for this parameter's value, like "show parameters" via SQL*Plus?

Please clarify.
Note: - I'm using Oracle 9i

Thanks in advance
