SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES=(NTS)

Jimmy Gupta-OracleJul 3 2017 — edited Jul 4 2017

Hi,

Can anyone explain what SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES=(NTS) parameter does. If I’m reading it right it allows Windows to log in to the database as sysdba without requiring a password. Does it only apply if the database itself is running on a windows server? Or does it mean a user/client on a windows PC can log in remotely without authentication?

Thanks you in advance for your help.
