SQLDeveloper using significant energy on Mac OS 10.12 Sierra

Hi,

SQLDeveloper (I am currently using 4.1.5.21 on Mac OS 10.2.2, but have been seeing this on 10.10 as well) is showing up as app with significant energy usage. This is when is sits idly in the background with no connections open and no editor tabs open.

Can anyone advise how to fix this?
