If you made a mistake, in join or match a character db field to a number field, latest version (21.4.3.063 Build 063.0100), of SQLDeveloper takes a very long time uses large amount of RAM 2GB+, before returning an error.
While memory and freezing issues existed right from beginning, SQLDeveloper taking a long time to return an error, when syntax or other issues, is a first.
Any workaround, please?
Update: Closing SQLDeveloper and reopening results in 1GB+ RAM and relatively shorter response time to error SQL
