SQLDeveloper 2.1.1.64 on Mac with mysql: Query execution was interrupted

Hello,

when I try to work with mysql on my mac, I have this strange problem:
Only the first select during a session on sqldeveloper against mysql returns the desired result set, issuing the same statement again or any other returns:
Query execution was interrupted.

What can I do to make it work? Do I have to use a special connector (currently 5.1.13)?
