SQL query to convert string to TIMESTAMP WITH TIMEZONE

Guys,

I've a string "20140120.0100-0500" in "<YYYYMMDD>.<HH24MI><Timezone>" format.

Please guide with a way to convert the string to "TIMESTAMP WITH TIMEZONE".
