SQL ID remains same after migration

Hi,

Recently we did a database migration from 10gR2 (10.2.0.4, HP UX server) to 12cR1 (12.1.0.2, RHEL server). While going through performance comparison between these 2 databases, I noticed that SQL ID for the statements remain same. Just curious is this normal behaviour or is there any chance for the SQL ID to change in new environment? Thanks for your replies in advance.
