Is there a trick of the trade for accomplishing a successful outer join? Trying every possible means with no success - want to pull data from a set of tables (student, teacher, and course info) as well as from an additional table (absence events). Not all of the students will have absence events - we want all of the results to display whether absence event exists or not. Will then pivot to display total absences by teacher (we want to see those with no students absent). Hope this makes sense.
Have tried union, union all, left join, left outer join…
THANKS for any expertise!
