Hi,
we are running SQL Developer on a couple of Mac BookPro's (some new models, other a bit older but all with SSDs, at least 8 GB RAM and 4 core CPUs) and it starts reasonably OK, but slows down quickly.
With slow I mean, that the GUI doesn't react wit lots of delay, I can key in half a select statement until the first letters appear in the editor window. If I change th efocus to another application the whole system is slow; a process Window Server shows a lot of activity, even if SQL Developer is then in the background.
Stopping it returns System Performance to normal.
We are using
Version 18.3.0.277
Build 277.2354
Java 1.8.0_201
Oracle IDE 18.3.0.277.2354
The issue came with one of the latest updates (alos when moving to Mojave on Mac).
Anyone similar experiences or advise how to mitigate that ?
Any Idea how to notify Oracle about it ?
Regards
Klaus
