SQL developer greyed out background on sql sheet when executing a query

Hi;
I am using Oracle SQL developer version 1.2.1. I open a SQL worksheep, write a query and the click the button to run that query the back ground change from white and gets greyed out. So now I cant see the words "select, from..." in a blue color and it is more difficult to read. Sometimes I executed the query and the back ground stays white but I dont know why.
Does anybody knows something it?
