SQL Developer Connection Timed Out

Hi all experts,

I downloaded sql developer version 2.1.1.64.45. I noticed If I leave the database connection opened for awhile, I will get a "connection timeout" message next time when I tried to run a query.

Is there a way to keep the database connection opened in sql developer?

I will have to Disconnect and Reconnect everytime when I DB session was terminated.

Anyone has a solution to get pass this issue will be greatly appreciated.
