SQL Developer and Visual Basic Express

Hello All,

This is my first post here in the Oracle forum. I am going back to University in September to complete my final year in a BSc(Hons) Computing degree. I am going to create a database DBMS and will use Visual Basic to create a usable front end GUI for my project. My question is as follows: Will SQL Developer connect to Visual Basic Express and vice versa?

I have the following pieces of software to hand:

Oracle SQL Developer
Oracle Data Modeler
Oracle 10g XE

Visual Studio Express 2008
Visual Studio Professional 2008

I am know this is something that is achievable and would like to be pointed in the right direction.
