SQL Developer and TextExpander?

Hi, does anyone work on a Mac and is using TextExpander? I like the feature of TOAD of defining keyboard shortcuts like "s*" to be replaced automatically by "select * from ". The tool TextExpander should do the same on my Macbook.

But whenever I put something in my clipboard within SQL Developer and type a predefined shortcut (snippet) I will get the content of the clipboard instead of long text defined for the shortcut. TextExpander Support says that it has something to do with the clipboard management of some Java applications. Is this correct? All other applications work fine with TextExpander.
