SQL Developer 4: SQL Worksheet Dropdown Sort Order Inconsistent

David VDec 18 2013 — edited Feb 27 2014

I have several dozen connection names in SQL Developer, some of whose names start with an underscore (i.e. "_mydatabase1"), so that these frequently-used connections sort to the top of any connections list in SQL Developer....

Well, in SQL Developer 4, the "SQL Worksheet" dropdown item in the main toolbar sorts these connections with underscores inconsistently. Sometimes these underscored connections are at the top of the connections list; sometimes they're at the bottom; sometimes some are at the top and others are at the bottom - it's very frustrating trying to find my connection. It appears that this connections list is not sorted consistently.

Also, the connections list in the "Find Database Object" panel does the same thing - it sorts these items inconsistently.

The lists were ordered correctly in SQL Developer 4 EA3, but in the full release, it appears to have been broken. Please fix it.
