Hello!
I encountered strange problem when I tried to save a file with colon (":") in file name. Usually, Windows would report an error and wouldn't allow me to save the file but SQL Developer proceeded with save and even showed me the name with colon in a tab name above.
But, from that point on (when Save seemed successful):
- Nothing was really saved to the disk. If desired filename was “Name12:friday” then file on disk would be created with filename “Name12” but witout contents (size 0 Bytes).
- All save functionality stops working, even after restarting SQL Developer. Only way to regain save function is to delete preferences folder ("system24.3.0.284.2209") and restart SQL Developer and re-import everything from older version.
I think, in this case SQL Developer should propagate Windows error and dissalow saving forbidden characters.
