SPM and SQL Profiles
611900Jul 27 2010 — edited Jul 27 2010We are using 11.1.0.7 and I have a question regarding SQL Plan Management.
Does it mean that if we have SPM enabled in our databases then we don't need SQL Profiles.
There used to be SQL Profiles attached to the SQLs in our database but now we have enabled the SQL Plan Management. Does it mean that the SQL Profiles we created so far is of no use now? Can we drop all the SQL Profiles now since we have SPM enabled in there? If it's so then why at the time of running SQL Tunning Advisor (Through Grid) still gives recommendations related to adding SQL Profile when we have SQL Plan Management enabled in the database.
Waiting for your inputs,
Thanks!
