Split String

gurus,
i have table like

id name
1 Offshore-Location1
2 Offshore-Location2
3 Marine-Boat1
4 Marine-Ship01

i want to select and split name field so i have result like

Offshore
Offshore
Marine
Marine

in postgre they have function split_part, but how can i do in oracle.
