specify view column datatype

J PAug 21 2015 — edited Aug 25 2015

Hi,

I notice, when I import a database view into SQL Developer Data Modeler, each column is assigned a corresponding data type, which I find very useful.

When I specify a new view in SQL Developer Data Modeler, I can find no dialog, where I could specify the datatype.

Instead of specifying it manually, I thought that the "view check" feature might import the datatype, but no such luck.

Right now it appears as if I would have to create the view in the database and the reimport it into SQL Developer Data Modeler to

get those data types ;-(

Am I overlooking something? Does anybody know of a better way?

Regards,

J.-P.
