Specified location to Generate FMX

I have two drive on my system.

F:projects
E:production

My Form developer suite is installed on E:production.

Currently there is no FMB in the production.

1) I want to open FMBs from F:projects and generate/create FMX in E:production.

2) To generate FMX, is compiling enough or I need to run the Form from the Form builder? Please clarify it.
