Sparc and Intel Comparison

Hi,

For our stock exchange application, we require a CPU architecture that is as fast as possible for a single thread performance.

We might choose T7 Sparc based Oracle or Intel based Oracle servers. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated on which CPU architecture would be best fit.
