space between tabs

Hi all !
I change my tabs shape using css -fx-shape.
The problem is that tabs are separeted like if they have margin on sides like the example i will try to show:
__________^''''''''^ __________________
\_i am a tab_\ * \_i am the second tab_\

* is the undesidered free space. i'd like tab to be "merged".

is it possible?
