sp2-0027 input is too long(>2499 characters)-line ignored

Hi all,
I have a MySQL dump of the database which contains all the INSERT statements. The problem I am having is that there are some INSERT statements that are more than 2499 characters long and either SQL Plus or the command line sqlplus is ignoring the whole row. Need on help how to get around that problem?
