SP2-0027: Input is too long (> 2499 characters)

Hello All,

I am facing SP2-0027: Input is too long (> 2499 characters) sql plus limitation when trying to spool data to a file since i have one huge query.
When runing this spool from a tool like toad it works with no issues.
My question is there anyway to run SQL developer from UNIX? AIX? under Oracle home?
I have an sqldeveloper directory in my oracle home.

is there any way to run sql developer from unix command line?
