SOURCE_GROUP AND TARGET_GROUP ODI 12c

DanckoFeb 8 2015 — edited Feb 13 2015

Hi,

I'm new with ODI and in particular ODI 12c that I'm using for a company project.

I want ask to you some questions that are not clear to me.

In ODI 12c what'is the difference between SOURCE_GROUP and TARGET_GROUP in the physical tab of mapping?. In particular how to we define a SOURCE_GROUP and how to we define a TARGET_GROUP.

When I define a physical model, then I also define a logical model and relate it to a physical model through a context.

Now in the mapping when I drag the data source from a model reversed engineered from that physical model I see only one group... the SRC_TGT_GROUP.

Please, can any one tell me how to we define two separate information source named SOURCE_GROUP and TARGET_GROUP?

Thanks in advance.
