Sorting not working properly

Hi

When I enable Sorting, Report Attributes--> Column attributes --> Sorting
I get the following error...

failed to parse SQL query:
ORA-00911: invalid character

However if i don't check the Sort Report works fine....
Please help as in what am i missing?
