New to Java

I have some knowledge in Visual Basic but I'm not pro(professional). When I self-learnt Visual BasicB, MSDN library is my God. I gave me whatever I wanted (API specification, examples of their usage, example project and etc). By the time I tried to jump to Java, search something like MSDN for Java. But it's fruitless. Anyway I downloaded API specification, some Java tutorial from sun website.

Isn't there something like MSDN for java? If it doesn't exit, where can I get tutorial and examples collectively?
