Solaris Live Upgrade and Zones???

807559Nov 15 2005 — edited Nov 23 2005
I'm currently reading the Solaris 10 System Administration Guide: Solaris Containers - Resource Management and Solaris Zones and i came across the following note on page 266:

Note - Solaris Live Upgrade software can be used in the global zone to upgrade a system that includes non-global zones. No other upgrade method is supported in a zones environment.

Is this true? I read docs to the contrary. Also, the student manual for the course "Solaris 10 New Features for Experienced Solaris System Administrators" says....

Note - To upgrade the Solaris Operating System on a system with non-global zones defined, it is first necessary to remove all non-global zones, then rebuild them after the operating system upgrade is complete.

What''s the truth? Do Sun even know?

Thanks in advanced.
