Solaris Installtion on a Gateway P4 with 40GB Hardisk

807559Nov 4 2001
Using the Solaris 7/01 distribution and the

setprop acpi-user-options '0x2'

on the bootenv.rc of the DCA, I still get the message

Warning: ACPI Tables not in reclaim memory

But the following messages are not displayed anymore

Warning: Resource Conflict-both devices are added

Non_ACPI device: PNP0C01
Memory: 9FC00 ...

ACPI device: PNP0C01
Memory: 9FC00 ...

Warning: Resource Conflict-both devices are added

Non_ACPI device: ISY 0050
Port: 3F0 ...

ACPI device: ISY 0050
Port: 3F0 ...

After that the installation continues and the Install Console shows the following message:

in.rdisc: no interface up

The installation continues but at the point the installation shows the size of the hardrive it displays only 12MB
when my drive is actually a 40GB hardrive.

I tried to use the patch 110202-01 but it didnt resolve the problem
