Solaris 9 install fails on toshiba laptop

I have a Toshiba Satellite 5105-S607. This has a 40gig HD, Geforce440 go video card, a touchpad that registers iteself as a USB device, and a god awful software bios that doesn't give you much more than the boot device order as a changeable option.

During install, whether I use the v1 disk, the install disk, or the DCA floppy, it stalls when it gets to the "Secondary boot" screen. It says "Secondary Boot" at the top in black with a white background. I can see the cd-drive spin a while and then it just stops for eternity.

Anybody have any ideas? Thanks for your help.....
