Solaris 11 network link level failover

927997Apr 2 2012 — edited Apr 11 2012
Hi,

I'd like to setup a redundant networking in my S11 box. I've connected two ethernet cables to two diferrent network switches.
Now, my question is: how to setup a network failover for the global domain so I don't have to setup the failover for every exclusive-IP zone separately?
The same question applies also for LDOMs (Oracle VM): how to setup a network failover in the control domain so I don't have to setup the failover for every LDOM separately?

Things I've tried:
link aggregation (dladm) - works fine, but it requires both cables to be connected to the same switch
IPMP (ipadm) - great for global domain, but it does not affect exclusive-IP zones and it needs to be set up in every single zone (or LDOM).

Thanks for any suggestions.
