Solaris 11.4 VM appliance hangs/freeze?

islammanjurulMar 25 2019 — edited Mar 25 2019

I have installed Solaris 11.4 virtualbox VM appliance on two of my x86 machines. The install went smoothly and the VM is good to go on both machines. However sometime it happens that whenever I am opening the browser, or working on the terminal writing something, the VM freezes. nothing works, no keyboard strokes or mouse clicks. it freezes from few second to a minute or more. while on freeze state, if i write something or click somewhere, they get captured which I see after the VM becomes unfreeze. and it happens regularly. not like it is happening only once after boot, but happening occasionally .  I then updated the VM to latest March 2019 SRU hoping that the freezing issue will vanish, but it is still there. I have changed the VM settings, increased the graphics memory to 128 MB, VM memory to 4 GB, allocated 2-4 CPU cores, but the freezing issue still exists. My virtualbox version is 6 and also I have updated the vboxaddons, both on virtualbox and on the solaris VM.

Can anyone help me in this regards, how to solve the freezing issue?
