Specifically, I am interested in insights regarding:
- Installation: Any issues with the OS installer recognizing the CPU, memory, or PCIe devices?
- Hardware compatibility: Network adapters, storage controllers, and other peripherals.
- Stability and performance: Any known quirks, crashes, or performance bottlenecks on EPYC systems.
- Firmware/BIOS dependencies: Minimum firmware versions or BIOS settings necessary for Solaris 11.4 to run reliably.
If possible, please provide details about the server model, EPYC generation, and any specific Solaris patches or updates applied. Any lessons learned or pitfalls to avoid would be greatly appreciated.
