Solaris 10 VM Converted goes into a Boot Loop

sjniiiOct 20 2016 — edited Oct 26 2016

We have a set of images sent to us by a customer. Not sure of the software used to create the images. The images were taken from various physical servers with various operating systems including Solaris 10

I was able to get the Solaris image converted to a VMware VM running on ESXi Server 6.

However, the VM boots up and goes into a boot loop.  Attached are the image of what console screen shows up as. If I time it correctly, I can grab select the Solaris failsafe mode show in screen 2 and the answering yes in screen 3, drops me into the shell.

I downloaded a Solaris 10 ISO, mounted it on the VM CD and booted to the CD, but I am I am not sure what the next step may be.

Any idea on why it goes into a boot loop and what I would need to correct the OS so it boots correctly?

Thanks
