Solaris 10, V240 - format command hangs

807557Sep 4 2007 — edited Sep 23 2008
Hello,

I have V240 with Solaris 10 on it (latest recommended patches installed). When I run the format command it seems to hang after disk selection:

myhost [home/dan/]# format
Searching for disks...done

AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS:
0. c0t0d0 <SUN72G cyl 14087 alt 2 hd 24 sec 424>
/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2/sd@0,0
1. c0t1d0 <SUN72G cyl 14087 alt 2 hd 24 sec 424>
/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2/sd@1,0
2. c0t2d0 <SUN72G cyl 14087 alt 2 hd 24 sec 424>
/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2/sd@2,0
Specify disk (enter its number): 0
selecting c0t0d0
[disk formatted]

^C^C

Admittedly, I haven't run format in quite a while, but it has definately worked before. I have tried a devfsadm -Cv but doesn't seem to have done anything.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Dan
