Solaris 10 NIC not found (Realtek RTL8169/8110 family gigabit ethernet)

807559Mar 24 2005 — edited Mar 28 2005
This is similar to a number of other posts that I have seen. I have installed Solaris 10, but the installation process did not detect my NIC (as shown by sysidtool.log entry "No interfaces found. Assuming NON-NETWORKED"

I am guessing that this is due to missing drivers??? There again. I don't know.

The hardware platform is a Clevo D470K AMD 64 3400 with a RealTek RTL8169/8110 family gigabit ethernet NIC.

If there is anyone out there who can point me in the right direction to solve this, that would be appreciated. Otherwise I have a redundant notebook for sale.

Thanks.
