Solaris 10 Login problem

I have recently installed Solaris 10 and when it gets to the log in window, it will let me type my user name in, but will not let me type anything in for password. It just won't type anything at all. I have reinstalled and still get the same thing, will not let me type anything in for password. Its like my keyboard locks up when trying to type the password. Help! Please
