Solaris 10 INETD not starting

Hello All,
I've discovered that on all 3 of my solaris 10 boxes that the inetd is stuck at start.
i.e. /usr/lib/inet/inetd start
I've enabled inetd via svcadm:
online 11:15:40 svc:/network/inetd:default

but the startup command doesn't get beyond "start".
Any ideas?
