Hello - I am new to Oracle.

I am trying to revive a database that's down. The information from my database log reads:

{color}{color:#000000}There is a registry error that may have occurred during a recent power outage. Can anyone help me? I am a newbie and must take over maintenance of a database where I am.

I have searched on Metalink and found nothing that matches the above log message. Thanks!
