Socket Programming

Hi all,
would appreciate your help coz i doing a project on Socket Programming and i dun know how to go about it.

I need to create socket at the server side and also another socket at the client side so that the two computers will be able to communicate.

The problem is that i dun know how to write the code so that the socket at server side will be able to communicate with the client side. The server side is using LINUX OS.

Any idea how to go about this ???
