SOA Suite 12c Performance in AWS Cloud

I am using SOA Suite 12c 12.1.3 on Redhat Linux platform and trying to host the soa servers on AWS cloud but the database servers on premise.

i.e. The SOA App servers on cloud and Database/database servers in the enterprise.

I want to know if this setup will degrade the performance of SOA Servers ?

Will it increase the latency time/response time for the soa servers ?
