Snowflakes in BMM

934476Oct 16 2012 — edited Oct 16 2012
Hi Gurus,

I read everywhere that BMM should be shaped as a star schema and not a snowflakes. That's also what I would do instinctively but I need to argue that and explain the reason.

Do you know why ? Do you have a link that could explain that or an explicit Oracle good practice that would capture that ?

I may also have a n:n relationship between facts and a dimension, so I'll use a bridge table. Will OBIEE be able to use that ? Or do you have an other recommandation for dwh modeling?

Thanks in advance.
