SNMP Problem with DS5.1 SP2 Installation on Windows NT

807573Jun 30 2003

I am installing Directory Server 5.1 SP2 on Windows NT Server 4.0 with Service Pack 6a. Before starting the installation, I have stopped the SNMP service from Control Panel -> Services. I have then installed DS 5.1 SP2. The installation completed successfully and it asked for rebooting the computer.

But after the reboot, the SNMP Windows NT service is not getting started and throwing Dr.Watson Error. The error message in Windows NT Application Log is as follows:

The application exe\snmp.dbg, generated and application error. The error occurred on 06/30/2003 @ 11:50:58. The exception generated was c0000005 at address 77f64d8a (RtlFreeHeap).

I have earlier done the DS 5.1 SP2 installation on two Windows NT 4.0 servers with SNMP service running, but I have not faced any SNMP service failure.

Can anybody tell me how to resolve this snmp failure problem?
