Snapshot back to Physical - missing flashback data

garywickeAug 30 2014 — edited Aug 30 2014

Environment: Oracle 11.2.0.3 EE on Solaris

I believe I know the answer to this one already  but I wanted to get confirmation from the experts.

BTW, many thanks to Brian, Michael and CKPT for my previous issue.

My goal was to do a Data Pump Export from the Physical Standby database to move some Production data into a test environment.

After researching, I decided to use the method of converting the Physical Standby into a Snapshot Standby, performing the Data Pump Export and then converting back.

I did have a little set up work to do to make the Physical Standby ready to become a Snapshot Standby but that seemed to go smoothly.  It involved changing the UNDO tablespace name, adding a tempfile to the temporary tablespace and setting the DB_FILE_RECOVERY_DEST and DEST_SIZE.

The conversion to the Snapshot Standby and the subsequent Data Pump Export went smoothly.

When I went to convert back to the Physical Standby I received several messages like the following:

ORA-38753: Cannot flashback data file 22; no flashback log data.

ORA-01110: data file 22: '/u02/oradata/APSKTLP1/aps_datastore_dt01_13.dbf'

It seems I missed the step in my process to enable flashback in the database.

Is there any way to recover from this or do I need to recreate the Physical Standby from scratch?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
