Smartcard and smartcard reader not working on Windows 7

I am using SRSS 4.2 with Windows 7. I am unable to get my ActivClient middleware software on my Windows machine to recognize the card reader on a SunRay 3+. If I use a Windows XP machine, this works perfectly. Not sure what is happening with Windows 7 that is blocking card access. Any one seen this problem before?
