Smart View "Invalid session. The connection has timed out" error
Seb LAug 13 2012 — edited Mar 15 2013Hi There,
I was wondering if anyone has come across the following issue.
We are on HFM 11.1.2.1.103 with 3 HFM servers installed on Windows 2008 64 bit.
Almost every day we have users receiving the following error when connecting to the Smart View HFM data source connection:
"Invalid Session. One possibility is that the connection has timed out. Login again"
We only receive this error when connecting to an HFM private or shared data source.
I have raised several SRs with Oracle and we have made the following changes on all 3 IIS servers:
- Application Pools -> hfmAppPool -> Advanced Setting -> General -> Queue Length, increase from
1000 to 4000
- Application Pools -> hfmSmartViewAppPool -> Advanced Setting -> General -> Queue
Length, increase from 1000 to 4000
- Default Web Site -> hfmofficeprovider-> ASP -> Services -> Session Properties ->
Time-out, update from 06:00:00 to 01:00:00
- Default Web Site -> hfmofficeprovider-> ASP -> Behavior -> Limits Properties ->
Script Time-out, update from 02:30:00 to 01:00:00
- Default Web Site -> hfmapplicationservice -> ASP -> Services -> Session Properties
-> Time-out, update from 06:00:00 to 01:00:00
- Default Web Site -> hfmapplicationservice -> ASP -> Behavior -> Limits Properties
-> Script Time-out, update from 02:30:00 to 01:00:00
- Default Web Site -> Advanced Settings -> Connection Limits -> Connection Time-Out, update from
5400 seconds to 120 seconds
- Default Web Site -> hfm -> ASP -> Services -> Session Properties -> update Time-out, from
06:00:00 to 01:00:00
- Default Web Site -> hfm -> ASP -> Behavior -> Limits Properties -> Script
Time-out, update from 06:00:00 to 01:00:00
Unfortunately these changes did not help and we need to bounce IIS every time this issue occurs, resulting in users being kicked out of Workspace.
Has anyone come across this? Any recommendations we can try?
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Seb
