I have a problem with Smart View working properly with Excel when connecting to an Essbase database. I am able to connect and retrieve ok and am able to maneuver around for 5 minutes or less and then Excel screen updating slows down. Which means when I refresh or try to pivot or something, Excel freezes the screen and it will not update my view unless I page down in Excel or move away from Excel completely and come back but sometimes that doesn't work either. Once I restart Excel, it works fine for the first 5 minutes and then starts acting up again.
